Default 2 Barudans

State/Province: Texas
City: Arlington
For sale are two Barudan single head 7 color embroidery machines. Both have some issues that I'll describe. These machines were built like tanks. No cheap nylon or plastic parts where there's machine movement. Each machine is approximately 48” long by 26” deep and weigh in at around 250 lbs. each.
Machine in the first picture is a 1993 model with a floppy reader and a monitor. Old school for sure but effective. USB readers can be purchased for these guys but they don't come cheap so I just stuck with the old tech. Only one drive works on the reader so I load designs one machine at a time when I'm using them in tandem. The issues with this machine consist of the following: The auto thread break sensors don't work on all the needles. I believe this can be fixed by polishing the thread detection pin and spring. Occasional ragged thread breaks (with good digitizing!!!). The likely culprit here is the bobbin hook needs to be polished for any micro burrs from needle strikes. Color changes just fine.
Machine in the second picture is a 1994 model. No monitor, and has the same issues as the above machine with one exception. It does not always color change reliably and sometimes hangs up between colors. I simply reset and manually move it. Mostly I use this guy for one color work which it does just fine. Sometimes it struggles a bit to cut thread. It needs a new thread cut knife under the striker plate.
Both machines come with cap drivers and hoops, but not a full compliment of hoops. Four 4” and two 6”. Virtually all of my work was caps and sleeve or left chest images which was great for what I had on hand. They sew caps at 270 degrees. I only have two cap hoops, but they sew virtually any cap well except for structured low profile.
These machines are perfect for someone wanting to get their feet wet in the trade and not pay a fortune for a new or nearly new machine. I will include the tables they are sitting on which are on wheels. I have not listed a price because I'll entertain offers. If they are ridiculous offers the worst that'll happen is I'll say no. I'm in no hurry. Machines are being sold together. I will not break up the family.
