your ad stated these machines you're selling today had been "completely reconditioned"...now you say you can't stop air leaks on a 19 year old machine. the one you're selling is 16 years old...so is completely reconditioned meaning no leaks or are you now trying to cover your butt saying it may leak? Again this man is not trustworthy. just told you its reconditioned and then the next sentence you can't stop old used machines from leaking. BE CAUTIOUS

he's already setting up people looking to buy...first ad says fully reconditioned. now he uses the term "machines of this age"...to sell it he tells you how great it is but once you own it he'll tell you how it's "old and used" his words in this post

Dave had the air leaks repaired when he left, you conceded this at the time. These air leaks you are complaining about have developed since then (as they commonly do over time with use) Are you also claiming Dave didn't do right by you also? I would suggest you are either not lubricating: using the in line oiler (possibly damaged or clogged) or you have a great deal of water in your air lines.

It sounds to me like you thought you were buying a new machine. This was not represented as a rebuilt, refurbished or a re-manufactured machine, it was sold as a machine that was currently in operation, not a machine from our shop that had been checked out and reworked.

A new M&R 10-12 with the print area that matches up with the Gauntlet II you purchased would be in $75,000 range, you paid $19k for the press, if you would have just spent $46,000. more you wouldn't have a thing to complain about (except the payments). On October 8th (40 days) before you purchased the machine I asked you by e-mail to come and inspect the machine before making your purchase. In 40 days you couldn't find 12 hours (by car) to look before spending $19k on a used machine?

We will and and have tried to work with you, you elected to bring this to a public forum instead of communicating directly with us in writing. All we have required from you was the correct part numbers and return of the defective parts. Your warranty period expired May 8th 2016, and we sent you every single part you requested (without question) during the 90 day period.

Normally I will sit on the sidelines and read this stuff without adding my two cents. However, I will speak up on this. Last year I bought a used press from Bill. It was a 19yo press. I understood that it was reconditioned. When I received the press and had it installed everything worked great. After a couple of months I developed air leaks. I called the installed and he walked me through a few things and we figured out what was leaking and why. I, me, failed to check my oil level. I had two air lock switches fail because of this. I guess I could have called Bill and demand that he do something about it. However it was my fault. But then again even if it wasn't my fault I have enough common sense to know that a 19yo machine may have problems simply because of its age. When you purchase a reconditioned 19yo car do you expect it to just like new? I know I wouldn't. I know that there will be problems because of its age. It sounds like Bill went above and beyond what he should have, just to make you happy. Bill is a stand up guy, he didn't mince words with me when I made my purchase. He was up front and honest about. Would I ever buy another used press from Bill? In a heartbeat.

I bought a used press THROUGH bill, not from Bill, and he went above and beyond.
He flew down to meet me at sellers shop, showed us how to tear it down and secure it for a long drive.
Once we set it up we ran into several issues but Bill worked with us by phone until it was up and running, including shipping us replacement parts we couldn't have known needed replacement at tear down.
Bill is a trustworthy guy in the industry.

I only speak on my experiences....if i bought a 19 year old car for $20,000 and the salesman told me it would not leak oil and it leaked two quarts a day i would be upset. if i was told it may leak a small amount and it did leak a small amount i would not be upset. it's all about what you're told at the time of purchase.
