Hi, total newbie here. I am just getting started learning about the silkscreen process, and taking a class, and pondering the supplies and equipment I will likely need in the future.

My interest is in creating fine art prints on archival paper.

However, the bigger sites I've found that sell printmaking supplies seem to all focus on silkscreen for making t-shirts. The all-in-one starter kits, the tutorials, all focus on t-shirts.

My question is, if I invest in a starter kit, is it all basically the same for prints too? I realize the inks could be different, but is the other larger basic materials and equipment the same? I'd like to get a starter kit to know exactly what comes with it, what all the different materials and equipment will be without having to figure it all out one by one.

If there are differences for t-shirts v. prints, what are they?

Thanks
