Smile Advice on Brother PR-600

Hi Everyone,

I just stumbled accross this forum and it is fantastic, So I joined up!

I operate a small screenprinting and embroidery business in Australia. We don't take on too many big embroidery jobs, mainly short runs onto caps, polo shirts, sleeves and the occasional big embroidery on the back of a jacket.

At present I outsource the embroidery to another company but want to get my own machine to reduce the overhead.

I am very good with artwork preparation for screen printing but have never digitized any embroidery or looked at any software.

I am considering the Brother PR-600 as a first step. Is this a good option for me or should I be looking at a more expensive option? Am I making a wise decision?

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!!

Thanks

We started our business alomst 2 years ago with the PR-600. Now we are looking for a tajima. The PR-600 is great for monogramming and we've done a lot of business logos but it isn't the best for hats. It can't stitch too close to the bill and can't do visors. It is also a little limited when trying to stitch small words. So it may be fine for you. We've been pleased with it but are ready to go to the next step. The tajima is a better machine but costs a lot more.

Certainly is a good machine. It would be a good choice for you work. We have 3 machines in house but 2 are Barudans and 1 is Tajima. All multiheads.
