Default Antec Legend 6 station manual press Like New

State/Province: Oregon
City: Portland
This is the Cadillac of manual printing presses. This Antec Legend 6 station press was purchased new in June of 2012 from Antec directly for $7000. I used it for small runs of my personal brand so it has very little use and is flawless. Comes with with 6 (6x18") wood platens. Asking $6000 obo

I also have 3 (18x24"....1 needs mounting plate), 1 sleeve (4x18"), 1 (10x12"....needs mounting plate), 1 (6x20").................these are available for purchase as well.

I'm also selling an X-Vactor exposure unit (purchased new at the same time)-$1000, Epson Artisan 1430 Black Max, wide format printer with AccuRIP software ($1500), and tons of aluminum screens.

Letter from Antec:

June 13, 2012

Torry,

Thanks for your time on the phone. In order for Antec to help any screenprint company maximize it's precision, efficiency and profitability, it is important for it's owners and managers to be aware of important advancements within the industry.

This is Antec's 33rd year in business. We are mechanical engineers as well as having a background in screen printing. For many years, an ever growing number of professional companies have considered our machines the very best available in the industry. Eighteen years ago, we had the good fortune to conceive of and develop a revolutionary and patented dual index technology for manual screen printing which isolates the printhead from the rest of the machine thereby providing flawless precision year after year without the usual degradation in print quality typical in ordinary machines. In addition, as each printhead is independent of the center of the machine, the Legend becomes the only true all arms down printer thus allowing multiple operators on the unit simultaneously with the same remarkable precision.

In 1981 Antec introduced it's Tracer micro adjustment system to a then non micro industry. Most manufacturers still use designs similar to this 25 year old technology in their present day offerings. The deficiency in these systems is that when one attempts to move one's screen from left to right for instance, a true left to right motion is not available. Instead what you get is an arced motion which then necessitates further adjustment and so on and so forth. The adjusters themselves have a relatively large amount of lash which further compounds the problem. This, of course, is a time consuming and costly process for any production shop.

When we developed the Legend series printer, we also incorporated a totally new, independent axis micro system with zero lash which greatly reduces set up time. Focused, business smart companies around the globe understand and take full advantage of the Legend's technical superiority and unequaled efficiency in the production environment to give them the necessary edge in a highly competitive industry. Russell Athletic, Gemline, RK Stratman, Nike, Fruit Of The Loom, The Game, Oarsman Sportswear, Unifirst, Delta Apparel and Fortune Fashions are just a few of our thousands of converts who have taken the time to do the essential research on this unique product offering and have consequently reaped the rewards.

Russell Athletic recently ordered their 48th unit from us. We have been told that they conservatively save $20 each time they set up one of our Legends for production. As they operate 24 hours a day, five days per week, and will do 10 set ups daily on each unit, their savings in set up time alone is roughly $200/day/unit. As you continue the math for 50 weeks, it becomes obvious what the attraction is to our product. We, of course, would like the opportunity to do the same for your operation.

For companies that average 4000 pieces per month (200 pieces per day) on a manual machine, the Legend has proven to save some $500 per month in increased efficiency and reduced waste over all other machines on the market. This means that one would recover their initial investment on a Legend 6/6 in about one year and continue saving at the rate of $500 per month thereafter, all the while receiving the same never faltering, razor sharp precision. To put it another way, to use anything other than a Legend in that sort of production environment would be like paying $500 per month to utilize a less precise and less profitable technology. The more production, the more savings. The Legend has earned it's place as the most cost effective printer in this very competitive industry, wouldn't you agree?

Of the many reasons cited by our customers for investing in the Legend, the following are primary.

* Patented, non-linked, spring loaded micro screen adjust system

provides exceptionally rapid pre-production set up times

* Patented, independently registering, "floating" printheads

provides true all arms down capabilities with flawless precision

* Patented dual indexing system

prevents misregistration, even as the machine ages

* Effortless rotational characteristics

provides the greatest efficiency possible in actual production

* Dual off contact adjustment

provides precise parallel off contact for image clarity

* Durability

many of our machines have been in continuous service for over 29 years, and some see 24 hour/day utilization.

* Resale

highest resale value industry wide

Precision .... Efficiency .... Durability - all purposefully engineered into every Legend machine we build. Expect the very best and then watch us deliver. On this, you have our guarantee. Take your time, do your research, ask around the industry about us. Although there are many lower priced machines on the market, it's the machine which will maximize your precision and profits that should win your approval, isn't it?

We know we can help you. You'll have to let us know when.

With best regards,

 Dave Peterson
