Default Any value in equipment brokers?

First off I have no respect for so called brokers that peruse Craigslist and other sites and reposts them on Digitsmith and mark it up a few thousand dollars. What a sham. No work and big payday, guess that's what lazy people look for, easy money and gullible people.

So what do you think about equipment brokers? Only 2 that I know in existence that actually have value to what they do are Bill Foust and CGS. Any others?

I bought some pallets through Bill Foust and they haven't shipped to us for two months. So whatever.

We have taken all of your customer info on your facebook and will be contacting them and will be doing free artwork free screens and give them a price they cannot refuse even if it is a break even deal .

Doesn't sound like what an ethical business person would do, does it?

Regarding Merch Monster's comments. They paid for the pallets on November 29th, at that time they requested the pallets be re-covered with new rubber tops. They were told this would require 2-3 weeks due to to prior commitments, they said Okay. The pallets shipped on December 27th (including the holidays 28 days from placing the order) attached is the FED EX log with pick up and delivery dates. The pallets arrived on January 4th, they are complaining three days after delivery of the pallets. I don't get get it, how can in be easier to publicly complain than check on your shipment with your receiving personnel?

The total time from order to delivery was 33 days (not two months) in addition this time period included two holidays. The receiver was closed for 11 days during this period.

How the logical next step is a public hammering is beyond me.

I am a new /used equipment dealer and will from time to time broker machines at my customers request, I will also fully service a machine before I send it. when I search for machine after a full day of working I can spend hours doing so, negotiating a price, spending my hard earned cash, crating shipping and then servicing it when I get it.
I have spent 30 years in my trade certified as an engineer and employ people but because you feel that this buck is easy earned ???? or you dont have the drive and where with all to get the machines and move on them before we buy them you decide to have a go at us for our drive, wisdom and education.
Now what can I sell you ?

What you just said has value, you buy it, service and make sure it's in good working order. Did I say there is no value in that? No I didn't so don't be a prick.

Facts:
* 42 days is a long time to wait for something that is clakmed in stock
* before I purchased I was told: 2 - 10 x 22 (Please allow 2-3 business days to recover)
* I paid for the pallets on 11/28
* I requested tracking number on 12/2, followed up again on 12/12 and 12/14
* Called twice. First time will told me they dropped the ball and would send that week. Second time the lady said Will would call me back and I never got a call back.
* they shipped the item to the wrong location even though I gave will the right address and it is also in my email sig
* we only received the item today since it was shipped to wrong location
* I've bought twice from foust always received my items but probably would not buy again

More facts: yesterday bill called me and was angry that I posted this on a public forum without contacting him first aside from the multiple emails and phone calls. I explained the lack of communication from his team re shipping my items was disconcerting and we had still not received the items. he explained to me that it was my fault for delayed shipping since I took 15 days to pay from the time that we contacted him originally. I told him we had still not received and he failed to take responsibility for shipping to wrong address. Bill also took time to tell me that he "didn't like my business practices" and our phone system sucks. Thanks for the feedback! Bill has also picked up the phone and called me an asshhole - verbatim - because I have a 415 number and he thought I was Dave McLain. I let it slide that time but ok
