Combined not combined

Hi, has anyone else had this problem? I use corel draw 12 with my epilog mini and sometimes when I have a design that has both graphics to engrave and lines to vector cut, the vector lines aren’t cut but engraved. And even when I remove the graphics it still won’t cut the lines.

Just to be clear on this… You are using a combined Raster and Vector setting? And you have the proper values in the various boxes in the print driver? Perhaps you could tell us what settings you are using. Vector, Raster, or Both. Vector speed and power. Raster speed and power. And the width of the lines that you want to vector cut are ‘hairline’, right?

Yes, all of the values are set to do both raster and vector.

I’m not sure what to say. I’ve re-read your original post. I see that you say sometimes…which would imply that other times all is well. I have version 11 and don’t have this problem. Want to send me a problem image and let me try to engrave here. I’ve got a Epilog 24tt/45 so cannot handle greater than 12 X 24.

Check line widths, any line wider than .007″ will be raster engraved, not vector engraved. Also, if you continue having problems with vector not cutting, ungroup and separate complex objects. Occasionally my driver software for my mini 18″ will have problems with small, complex objects. This is especially prevalent with combined/grouped objects less than about 1/4″ in size, usually smaller.

Hi, I figured out that the problem was due to the arrangement of the graphics. When I sent them to the “back”, everything worked the way it was supposed to. Thanks anyway.
