Filtration recommendations?

We’re getting our first laser in a few weeks (Epilog Mini 35W) and I’ve started to consider the possibility of using an indoor filtration system instead of venting to the outside. It’s around 100F outdoors here so I’d hate to blow our precious A/C outdoors.

The only company I have contacted so far is Purex (with their LaserEx line) and am trying to determine if their smaller systems will work efficiently with our laser (LaserEx 210i or 400i).

We will be primarily cutting fabric and paper (90% of the time) and more rarely other materials such as acrylic, wood, and metal marking.

Does anyone here have experience with any indoor type filtration systems or can you recommend companies which provide such systems?

I recommend you vent to the outside. While the indoor filtration units can remove noxious substances from the air, they don’t remove the odor and the house will fill up with it in no time. Burned plastic and wood are especially bad, even with low power laser equipment.

Personally I say vent to the outside. Put a blast gate on the hose which you can open/close as needed and save your precious AC.
