Hi! Does anybody have experience engraving tile? I picked up a number of nice 6″ X 6″ pieces at Lowes and found it works well for black & white clip art that is not heavily detailed, but the more detail that is in it, the more difficult it is to engrave. The main problem is that everything just wants to run together. I’m filling in the engraved areas with a black magic marker (to improve the contrast) and wiping away the excess. The magic marker will not stick to the glazed surfaces. Has anyone tried doing this with PhotoGrav?
If you want to do some fooling around you may want to try Cermark for tile. It is a bit pricey, and can be messy. Having said that it does a good job.
