Laser on glass

I do a lot of lasering on glass and I use laser tape on the glass that is used for sandblasting afterwards. Most of the time I then sandblast the piece to give it the clean nice edge. I just finished up 150 votives that I did that way for a wedding. Takes a little more time but they really look nice. Don’t know if you have sand carving equipment but I thought I’d mention it.

What type of tape do you use on glass and where do you order it from?

Its just called LazerMask. I buy it from Rayzist. Call and talk to Art. 800-729-9478 or check out the website. www.rayzist.com

The other type of tape you can get from a company called LaserBits or actually I get a plan white trophy tape that I also use from Johnson Plastics.

Laserbits has a lot of neat stuff for lasering also. www.laserbits.com

I have found that plain ol’ cabinet contact paper works just as good for sandblasting. I laser cut my mask and use aluminum oxide blast.

Would you mind if I ask how much you charged for the votives? We are always working on pricing issues with our etching and engraving.
