Old screen printing press micro-registration recalibration

Hey guys,

There is screen printing & embroidery shop selling some of their equipment nearby and they’re selling an old manual press that I think I can get a really good deal on. Anyways, is recalibration of the micro-registration a big deal that requires a professional? In other words, would it cost a lot that makes purchasing of the press not a good idea? I’d be happy if someone who has gone through something similar can shed some light on this. I’m not very mechanically-inclined, but I do okay :(

You don’t need a ‘professional’ you can do the recalibrating yourself. If you’re scared or not sure, just do it one at a time so that you have examples as a guide should you need it. Clean them as much as you can and re-center everything on assembly.
