Used Epson Stylus With New Computer

Hello everyone, I am starting with screen printing and bought a used Epson inkjet printer for doing film positives. The problem is that the printer uses a parallel port. I have a new computer (laptop) and it uses USB ports and doesn’t seem to have a parallel port. I sold my computer last year and it had one so I guess older computers came standard with parallel ports. Is my only option to purchase and older computer for using this printer? I’m not too savvy when it comes to PC hardware. Does anybody have any suggestions? I guess I can buy my brother-in-law’s old PC, but I would rather not go that route. Thanks all for any input.

Take the parallel cable with you and go to Best Buy, Radio Shack, or a small computer store and ask one of the workers for a USB adapter for the cable you have with you. They should be able to help you out quickly.
