Backing Material

With so many types of material to use and being a noobie and not knowing, what is the best (most preferred) backing material that everyone uses. Please tell me why you prefer one over another type. Thanks

What backing you use largely depends on what type of job you're doing. There are a lot of stabilizers on the market, some are multipurpose, like most tearaway or cutaway products, and others are more specific, like Poly Mesh or Solvy. Your best bet is to figure out what you'll be embroidering the most and then looking for the backings that work best for that type of embroidery.
