BES 100 BDF FILES convert to newer software compatible files?

hi, I've recently received a hard-drive full of BDF format embroidery designs and i was wondering if i could convert these into PES or files that can be opened by newer softwares (pe design v6, wilcom etc.) any help would be much appreciated
