Default Re: Brother CPU Circuit Board (I've got 3 Sources 4 U)

Found Three Options so far:
1.local Board Repair source (Northern Michigan), est. $75 per hour.
2.Refurbished source in TN, $843+ my Core Return.
3.BAS 423 Parts Machine in NC. Parts 130% of New or Buy entire machine minus Control Panel (which was already Sold) for $1800 + $1000 to ship.
Sale As Is, Price 130% of what Brother Charged for same Part if New because parts now obsolete.
AS IS Used electronics I can't test/return, not optimal situation for me, money is an issue.

Extremely interested in your BAS 423 machine symptoms / events that led up to your need for PCB Board, repair, etc. and anybody else's out there. Expecially what one can expect to break down next after One of the many major boards is replaced.

Not sure if I'll proceed with repair and/or replacement, maybe time to give up?

Had to Farm out current Cap Orders, it cost me more than I got, competitors charge more than I, but I'm stuck. I'm struggling to do Flats on my obsolete 1983 Melco Superstar 2 head, until I decide, will not take on any new orders.

My 1983 Melco is a Two Head Boat Anchor - No Trimmers, only does Flats. No Resale Value, although still a slow Work Horse when called to duty. No resale value not only due to lack of features but because it takes Old School SKILL to operate, digitize for and Single Density Technology. There's not too many Verterans and/or Newbie's out there with the required skill so didn't give it away, kept as a Bandaid in times of need.

Much gratitude for your time to share your experience.
