Re: Brother se-270d question
Hi there... Like you, I am also new to embroidering, I have been wanting to do the same thing as you. I also have the brother se270d, and love it by the away!! My 2 year old loves the disney designs!!! Everything that I have read and found on the internet about this tells me that I need a writer box and blank card to save the new image that is not already programmed to my machine. It is called "PED Basic". If the image you want to to embroider is scanned on your computer you will also need it digitized in order to write it to the memory card for your machine. For that you will need digitizing software. However, if you are only wanting to do a few images that need digitized I have found a few websites that offer this service. I have also found a few off of ebay that will digitize for you for a fairly cheap price. You can goodle "digitizing services" and get a ton of sites to choose from. I am not sure if this helps you or not but I just thought I would pass along what I have found out about this. My husband wants me to embroider a logo for the company that he works for on some shirts. I knew that my machine was not able to do this so I started looking for how to do this and this is what I have been able to find. Also about the ebay thing... I have found several PED Basics on ebay for around $115 plus s&h and also have seen several digitizing softwares but I read on someones forum that some of the really cheap ones have come to be bootlegs copies. Good luck and if someone else has better advise please by all means clue me in also! Like I said I am new to this stuff!!
