Unhappy Can't get my machine to do basic sewing

I have the Singer Futura CE-250 and I can't get it to do basic sewing. I have unplugged and replugged everything several times. When I press on the foot pedal, nothing happens. I can press the reverse button and it will automatically go in reverse...not pressing on the foot pedal. Am I missing something? I've only had the machine a couple months and have only used the basic sewing once so far. Of course, now I have a project that needs to be done ASAP and it won't work. Any suggestions???

Default Re: Can't get my machine to do basic sewing

I have a Singer Future CE 200 and I never had such problem
I only use it for sewing did you upgrade your machine with the future support?
Do you use the Sewing attachment what makes it into a sewing machine or are you trying to use the embroidery attachment.
Change the sewing foot / plug in foot pedal and you should be good to go.
If not check futura support website
