Default Connecting treads Design Era

I have a rookie question. When we type text into Siera Design Era and sew it out the connecting treads between the letters are on the top of the shirt. When we have designs digitized the connecting treads are on the back of the shirt. Is there a way to tell the program to place the connecting treads behind the design?

There is no way that the connecting threads are only behind the design. Maybe someone already cut the connecting threads if you have had a design stitched out elsewhere, OR your digitizer had the connecting threads at the same angle as background stitching, and they sunk into the background.

Maybe the ones digitized by someone else have TRIMMED between each letter? so there are no connecting threads on the top.

Mr young. We're new to this. Are you saying that the digitizer can program the file so that there are no connecting stitches.

yes, easily enough, but I would think your lettering program can do the same thing.. just add trims? not sure how that is done in the software you have but I am sure it is possible. sorry.

If you do this remember that there will be many more knots of thread to rub against the skin - and it slows machine time down quite a bit.
On my software I would have to digitize each letter seperately to get it to trim between each one. Much easier for me to cut jump threads at the end. :-)
