Default design images

I'm new to embroidering. I'm using a SWF/E - T1501C machine.

When I create a lettering design with the Sierra software I transfer and save it to the SWF via a USB flashdrive.

In the machines EMBcall, the image shows as a + sign, not an image of the lettering.
I have 10 lettering designs saved in memory and each one has the + sign showing as the image.

This is very frustrating because I need to pull up every + sign image to find the correct design I want to sew.

This is only happening with the designs I create. When I transfer a design (via the USB flashdrive) with lettering from the digitizer, his design comes up with the correct lettering image, not the +sign in EMBcall.

I'm baffled, is there a machine setting I need to change or something I am missing when creating the lettering or etc.

I would sure appreciate input on any idea what is happening here.
