Default Designer's Gallery or Floriani Pro?

Has anyone compared these two? From what I've researched, Floriani Pro is all-in-one, while with DG (MasterworksII, etc) you need to buy several modules to get what Floriani Pro has, which ends up costing more. So, my question is, do they produce the same embroidery results? Also, I think Floriani doesn't charge for upgrades, while DG does?

My goal is to both draw & digitize my own images and also to manipulate/break apart downloaded or purchased images.

Note: I'm only looking at these two right now. I've downloaded the demos and experimented some, but wondered what other opinions are.
