Well .... Yes.

BUT (isn't there always a but)

Any good program is going to be EXTREMELY expensive, thousands, literally. You would be beter off to find yourself a very good digitzier, and see what they have done and can do. Ask if they have ever done any photo digitizing before, see if they have a portfolio of their work.

I'd go from there personally.

I hire all my out. It takes years to know how to professionally digitize. And if you are like me
it is too time consuming to learn it and look good. I would rather embroider instead of messing around with digitizing. And the price to hire it out has really gotten cheap over the years.
Pass the custom design cost on to your customer. I never had a customer complain yet.

At Planet Embroidery.com there is a section called WEB PHOTO
there you can imput a photo and a stitch version is produced.
You pay only what you imput.
Try it and let us
(on this list) know how you like the feature.

I am a freelance digitizer with 16 years full time experience, I use tajima DG/ML by Pulse designer edition....actually worked for Lands' End as one of their first digitizers 16 years ago...and helped in the testing process of creating this software with the Pulse programmers out of Canada when it was first developed. I am looking for some more work...and it is done right here in the good old U.S.A. , so communication is great....send me an email if you would be interested in using my services ....feel free to PM me or call 608-778-1215 8:00am-8:00pm central time and leave message.

Pricing is $1.50 per 1,000 stitches
Free Resizing/editing (ex: date/name change) L. chest logo
1-3 day turnaround (speed = lack of quality)
secure payment through PAYPAL
prices are negotiable
GUARANTEED EXCEPTIONAL WORK !!!!

Thanks for your time,

Brent Burghy

I recommend contracting your digitizing out. There's many good ones, and the prices are reasonable now.

The old standard "you get what you pay for" is not always true with digitizing. I've paid $20 and up for bad digitizing, and I've paid $10 for fantastic digitizing.
of stitch counts. I've had designs done by one digitizer with a 20k stitch count, and then had it redone by another and it's 15k. Both good quality designs.

PM or email me if you'd like some references.
