Default Disney design or Client fires us

So a client in Oklahoma gave us an ultimatum today.. ether we digitize her Grumpy design from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs without permission from Disney or she is going to never use us again and tell everyone how horrible a company we are.

Ah,, I am SO glad I never took the Carnegie classes on customer service......

Needless to say I clearly advised her that of all the companies to mess with.. well just go on your merry way honey.. whistling and all... lol High Ho, High Ho....

I hope you´ve passed on the customers name to Mr Disney. Just to prove what a horrible company you are. Copy to the customer as well.

Whistle while you work......

I am sure many many digitizers have no problem doing designs without permission. But when you reach a certain level you have more to lose so the risk just isn't worth it. ABC Mom and Pop digitizing company doesnt have much for them to sue for probably.
We used to actually digitize some designs for Disney over 17 years ago... and back then they would make us destroy the paper tape after any order was complete!!.... if they ever reordered we had to digitize from scratch again! crazy... but they paid... boy did they.. left chest logos could be over $200 each and many a full back was over $1500.

I have read these posts and, in my opinion, it is not against the law to digitize a design, it's against the law to sew it and sell it. Go ahead and make your money, let your ******* customer get sued!
