Default Do you have a written Business Plan?

When setting up your company and/or since then have you taken the time to research and properly prepare a written business plan? For those with a plan how often do you refer to it? For those without a plan do you ever think preparing one might be worth the effort or it's just a waste of time? Please comment on how you feel about business plans.

I am a business plan and if your business is for pleasure that is your plan if it is for profit you need a plan, goals and plans are what makes things successful, we all say once this gets going I will do this and that, getting a business going has different expectations, with a plan your actually stating what you will do after every baby step, and you are getting closer to the ultimate. any business has the same principles, invest to have the right equipment and make sure you have chosen your audience and have the products for that audience, then have a market plan for exposure, etc. sorry, I could go on forever, yes a business plan is essential.

I am in your boat and plan on writing one before I start my business. Never have started a business, but i am bad about jumping into things that aren't well planned out....living on the edge....free willing it, and I think if i'm going to devote the livelyhood of my family.....I need to have a very strict and well thought through plan. I'm tired of ho hum.....It's time to get serious and i'm going to take as long as it takes to complete my plan before my journey starts!!
