Default does anyone know what software is mac compatible?

I am interested in buying a plotter, but I am only familiar with cutting with flexi on pc systems... now I have a mac and im not sure what software is compatible. I also already have adobe illustrator, can I cut with that since it makes vector graphics, or do I still need another software?

thanks

You still need new software, you can and should design in Illustrator or Flexi, they make Flexi for Mac, i use Mac however i have PC's for my machines. Another option is to run Windows on your Mac if you have Intel Processors. There are programs that will allow you to run .exe programs inside of OSX.

For the record...

If you have Flexi for PC
You can download Flexi Mac from their website and use your same serial number.

I am on a MAC. I just bought a Graphtec CE 3000-60 24" plotter. I bought it on 12-15-09 for $500. This is a model that is a couple of years older. This Graphtec model actually does not support Mac like the newer models of graphtec that are more expensive...but if you have ADOBE Illustrator CS4. Like I do you can go to Graphtecs website and download the plugin for CS4. The plugin is called Cutting Master 2 1.60. It is free. This allows you to cut directly within Illustrator CS4. You can even go into the legacy plotters and download the pdf's for the older plotter you just purchased. If you are looking to spend a little more money the newer Graphtecs are MAC and PC compatible. The cheapest place I have found that sells new Graphtec vinyl cutters is at Ordway Sign Supply. Here is their link.

Even though I bought a used Graphtec... I called up their customer support and they helped me through the setup of the plotter. I am very impressed with their company. I did alot of research to find the best vinyl cutter and Graphtec has my ticket. I was impressed with all the great reviews everyone gave. There was one guy who said he has been using the same plotter for 20 years! When properly maintained I can see that being true. I hope this helps you.
