These methods are just like the concept we used when modifying the vastex Pre reg system. My experience, Alan, is that the light bulbs made a big difference. It seems the distaste for carrier sheets or at least the preference for a non-carrier sheet method of Pre reg is probably more pervasive than thought. Alan, do you have a way to accommodate for your mzx's, m3's, and any statics since the tubes are a different diameter and your grid, therefore, will be closer or father away from the mesh depending on which you use?

I like the concepts - never was a fan of the carrier sheets from the very get go.

We only use the M3's and shurloc ez frames and they are very close so it's not been a concern, even mixed differing frames within the same job. I don't have any mzx in production at the moment. But the center line is as close between the M3's and shurlocs as shurloc to shurloc. I've got a few EZ frames that are about 1/8" wider than others but most of the m3's are dead on.

...Alan, Mr Tees from TSB. contact me sometime this coming week if you have time (I need to take some pics first), I have tried this mod with my Triloc in a slightly different way, and maybe we could brainstorm something cool. I have some further ideas on this.

Sorry I don't have photos, but I once used a FPU that accommodated various sized screens and they did that basically with an overhead projector and the screen sat upright and clipped to the wall, they had red plastic over the light so as not to expose the screen or anything, and the projector had some lay marks on it, with various film transparencies according to screen size and setting. Always thought it was nifty, yet bit awkward working to the side of it so not getting in way of the light. Different....

The reason the MHM FPU works is because it replicates the head of the machine. If a platen is involved then you defeat the inquiry.
