Re: Does anyone make a Film Positioning Unit other than MHM?
The center is a clear piece of plexiglass built onto an inch and a half of wood to give it the height it needs to kiss the inside of the screen. I added the white chloroplast for more contrast with the alignment grid. I will add a flouro bulb underneath the built up grid at some point, but I don't really have any issues seing through the stencils to align film. We use red emulsion for our thicker stencils so it's easy to see through. It's basically the M&R triloc film positioning unit, built up a few inches and turned upside down. It's not as pretty as the cad drawing above, but it's the exact same concept. I built it in a hurry and with what I had in the shop but at some point, I might make it look more professional and less redneck.
