Default Dryers whats better?

Question about dryers? I’m running a workhorse freedom 6/8 and a four color manual and need to upgrade my dryer. The question that I have is what’s better quartz or IR? What’s the difference and what’s the advantages and disadvantages to each? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated Thanks!

Default Re: Dryers whats better?

I would say dryer with IR ceramic heating elements is a better option.

1. Ceramic heating panels last longer than quartz bulbs.
2. Quartz dryer will draw more current during operation

However, many other things should be also taken into account - good insulation, smart engineering, temp. controllers, etc...

In my opinion, when you need a lot of heat right away, then quartz (flash cure), when you need steady, controlled temperature for longer period, then IR ceramic panels (electric dryers).
