The right answer is you don't give enought information.

What color garments are you printing on? If you don't need to print on dark shirts and have no need for white ink brother comes highly recommended for quality and service.

If white ink is needed...and if you intend to do a high volume of garments and can afford $100K. to $200K. you probably want to look at Kornit. If you want a well engineered unit look at the Flexi-Jet. Especially read the FAQ on Flexi site and you will see that having the print head move is better than the platen that holds the garment. T-Jet has probably sold the most units but (and maybe consequently) has the most horror stories.

I have a personal problem with the company that markets DTG so take this with a grain of salt. The HM1 the more expensive unit that they sell prints a narrower field then Flexi. and is not based on as good an Epson Print driver as the Flexi. The Kiosk, their cheaper model is probably prefered if you are doing very low volume and need to get low priced unit.

Few people will come right out and recommend a unit. They give the sage advice, go to shows to see units in person, and get samples. I would add wash the samples before you judge.

In the end you may probably find that pretreament is more important than the printer and machine maintenance is the only path to avoid buyers remorse, regardless of printer

I found out that today that my lease will be approved. Can you guess which one I'm buying?

Thank you for the info I would be printing on light and dark colors so i guess i would need the white ink and for now low production...

My next question is i have been looking at some shirts and i have noticed that the actual fabric is died in certain areas such as this one http://emericaskate.com/images/page/...ycat-wht-1.jpg I am now guessing that this is not done by DTG printing. How is this done then?

Thank you
Justin

i have a t-jet 2 that has done very good for me. it is really great for the speciality type orders ( photographs, names and numbers), but also does good on larger orders. comes with heat press and extra ink. i have it posted under icetees and there are also afew testimonials on this and the screen printing site of people that really like them.

Thumbs up Re: DTG printer

I have a DTG Koisk II for sale listed under jerrydjones. It was only used 2 times and comes with a warranty. I'm staying with in house embroidery and outhouse printing, too busy to do both myself. It prints on darks and has white ink and does great on all production runs. I'm selling it $2,000 under new price and willing to work with shipping and handling cost. If any questions or interested you can contact me at jerrydjones@comcast.net

I have one that I'm selling. It's one year old, works good. I'm needing to sell it to get more embroidery machines. This needs to be used daily and I'm not able to. 10,000 or reasonable offer.
