Red face Embroidering Moisture Wicking Material

I have many years embroidery experience and understand how to set tensions and proper use of backing etc. But I am having a REAL difficult time embroidering thin, polyester moisture wicking material. I have tried different backing types and weights and I just get major puckering. I'm humiliated to be honest. Do I need to change bobbin tension? Presser foot depth? Any help would be appreciated.

We do quite a few of them. We may loosen the tension slightly but not much. Probably the biggest thing is to make sure not to over stretch the material when you're hooping it. A clamping system would probably be ideal to keep the fabric from being stretched too much but we don't have such. Be sure to use ball point needles. We also cut down on the density and penetrations especially in small areas.

Thanks for your reply. It just occurred to me that digitizing properly for this material might play a big role too?
