Question Embroidery business

I want to begin an embroidery business at home.
I am a computer software person, so I am very familar with computer software and hve used the Pfaff 3d Software.
What machine do you reccommend...
I am looking to subsidize my business...if you have experience maybe it would be helpful
also do have other reccommendations for software, etc
I have marketing and advertising background.

Thanks

Hello Sewingnanny,

I love polls! But, I'm a little confused by your poll. Maybe it's just me, but I don't quite understand the choices under the question "can embroidery be a successful at home business?". If you can explain a bit that would be great.

sewingnanny,

An embroidery business CAN be a good business if you have the right machine, right clients and right quality. All these come by time and thus one has to devote himselve to the work.If you know how to use the Pfaff software that is a good jumpstart. You can design your own designs and test them before you start marketing.

Low profit at start and then higher profits after you are totally in the biz is the best way to go. I wish you success !!

I agree, low profit at start and higher profits later sounds pretty good.
