i have 2001 swf 1501c it keeps giving me upper thread cutting stop. please help with any advice.

You are an idiot for buying something you do not know how to use it!!!!!!

1. remove needle plate and remove all the dedris from lower knife with twizzers or compressed air make sure knife is adusted per spec ( check your manual)
replace needle plate
2. Make sure upper thread picker is moving freely thru its guide and thread holder.
Move it back and forth manaully with hands.
clear error runs a few manual trims and you should be good to go
check tensions !!! To loose or tight and trrimmers will have problems
