Default Embroidery on single side nylon flags

Please give me suggestions on backing since it will be visible after embroidery on a single side flag.

Thanks for any advice!!!

Use a medium weight tear away, if the flag is real thin, then use 2 sheets. That way it will tear clean and you won't see the backing through the front.

Also note if its a dark-colored flag you may want to use a black bobbin thread.

I am also trying to embroider a flag made out of nylon. It is for a boat. I have tried doing it on two layers of wash away and that didn't work. Then I sewed the nylon onto the washawy stabilizer using wasaway thread. That was alittle better but there were still some puckers. I am afraid that tear away stabilizer won't completely tear away and since you will see the backside as the flag flies it might not look very good. Any advice?
I wonder how you made out!

we use the same color bobbin for each of the top colors... wind them ourselves off the cone on the top. Digitizing and densities DOES play a part in the success of this type of embroidery, but so does machine thread and bobbin tension.... when you go to the trade shows you see gimmicks where they sew on toilet paper... SO if you can successfully sew on toilet paper then Nylon should be a breeze. Practice Practice Practice...

Hate to hijack the topic a bit but Robert's post reminded me of some fun Xmas presents we've given in the past.

Thanks for the pic! I would have posted one if I had one, lol. Sewing on nylon should now be seen as much easier? Try sewing metallic threads on organza!
