Default EMC6/4 1989 who is familiar with this machine and spec

I have been given an oppty to purchase a 4 head melco emc6/4 with black heads(tajima) and no trimmers. Though it is an older machine we do like the flexibility of increasing our capacity at a minimal cost.

We are currently using three brother single heads and Ethos digitizing software. My questions are as follows

1) is there a way to convert our DST files to exp or what method would we use to get our designs into it? Is there a bridge file that both our brothers and Melco can use or is EXP the only format for them?

2)what is your opinion of the machine it is dated 1990

3)what is a fair price for this machine

4) since there are no trimmers does that mean that all color changes have to be trimmed before moving on so as not to tangle or embedd the other colors into the design with leftover tails?

Thanks in advance
