Smile emc6 vs amaya os v.6

Can anyone help. I just purchased 2 emc6 machines, in dos. The people I bought machines from didn't know what to do with the amaya os v.6, design shop v.6 and ens v2 disk that they got. I don't know either since I am new to this. Can I load the amaya os, design shop and ens programs onto my computer and have them work with the emc6 machines. They have the melco dos verson 4.3 and I just purchased a pci card from Melco. But they are all gone for the holidays and I would like to do some embroidery.
Anyone have any suggestions. I dont want to put the program on if its gonna make my emc6's not work in dos at this moment. Inother words I don't want to be without them working til the new year. Has anyone ever installed these programs and had them work with the emc6 with no problems. Also, the people I bought the machines from don't know where the dongles are and so the programs won't work until I call melco and get a new dongle for them anyway. But I would like to install the program if it will work. Thanks.

I dont mean to be a bit negative here but I hope you havent handed over your hard earned money yet for the program dongles. The program is worth nothing, its the licence for the dongle and the dongle that you are buying. Dont be surprised if you have to buy a new dongle licence from Melco either and maybe a licence to use the OS as well.
Thats the case with Wilcom software , if I loose the dongle then I have to buy a new one for the whole program. Thats why its insured.
As for the Dos and loading os I cant help.
Sorry I hope I am wrong......But get onto where you bought it and find that dongle.

Earl.

Thanks Earl for getting back to me. The people I bought the machines from their computer broke, they got a new one and they can't find the dongle. They think it went out with the old machine...bummer. So I called Melco this morning, they say that I need to upgrade my dos first, then use design shop and ens of which I do not have the dongle for, so I am probably going to have to buy the dongle again. As far as Amaya OS I can't use that because my machines are EMC6's and not Amaya's. Sorry I wasn't more specific.
