We've run into a bit of a problem and I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this. We bought a new printer, it's the Epson Stylus Photo 1400 and for some reason we are getting repeated paper jam errors with the paper.
It's to the point where out of the box a new printer will print normal paper fine but after 3 print outs on the transfer paper it won't load any paper of any type and gives us a paper jam/load error.
I know this is more an Epson customer service call issue but we've been through 4 printers in 2 days all with the same results.
Has anyone else had similar things happen?

WELL I GUESS YA JUST GOTTA KNOW WHO TO ASK...HERE IT IS, THE EPSON PRITERS USE A LITTLE RUBBER WHEEL TO PICK UP THE PAPER, LOOK DOWN INTO THE PAPER FEED ON THE 1400 YOU WILL SEE A GREY LITTLE WHEEL, THAT WHEEL IS DIRTY, IF YOU USE THE WRONG SIDE OF THE PAPER IT WILL FILL UP THE WHEELS GROOVES THAT CATCH THE PAPER. YOU GOTTA CLEAN THE WHEEL REALLY GOOD TO GET IT TO WORK WELL AND ONCE YOU DO THAT IT IS A WONDERFUL PRINTER. SO, GET A TOOTH BRUSH AND REALLY CLEAN THAT WHEEL, THE WHEEL IS CALLED A PICK-UP. IF YOU OWN AN EPSON OF ANY KIND ESPECIALLY IF YOU ARE USING COATED PAPER YOU SHOULD KEEP THAT WHEEL REALLY CLEAN. WAS IT A BRAND NEW ONE OR A REFURBISHED ONE? I HAVE BEEN IN THE PRINTER BUSINESS FOR 21 YEARS, YOU SHOULD HAVE A LITTLE CAN OF "RUBBER ROLLER REJUVENATOR" BUY IT FROM FIXYOUROWNPRINTER.COM. THE PHONE NUMBER IS 310-372-5331, I THINK IT WAS ABOUT 10 OR 12 DOLLARS. ANOTHER LITTLE HINT, GO TO HOME DEPOT TO THE WELDING SUPPLY DEPT. AND GET A STEEL BRUSH, IT'S THE SMALLEST STEEL BRUSH THEY HAVE, IT COSTS 3.50. USE THAT BRUSH INSTEAD OF THE TOOTH BRUSH AND YOU WILL BE A HAPPY PRINTER BUDDY.
