Default Gathering At Top Of Stitching

On The Top And Bottom Where The Embroidered Letters Are The Shirt Material Is Gathering A Little. It Is Gathered A Little Across The Whole Top Where The
Letters Stop. The Letters Are Embroidered Vertically And The Gathering Is Running Horizonal.could Someone Please Tell Me How I Can Fix This Problem. I Am Using Tear Away Backing Material.

what type of material is the shirt made of? it sounds like u r using the wrong type of backing

Try a medium/heavy cutaway backing. If you're seeing gathering before the item is washed it will be worse after it is washed.
