Getting proper curing temps with plastisol inks
Is there a good method other than the small handheld guns to register temps on garments comping out of the dryer?
We currently use one of the small heat guns, but i'm not convinced of the accuracy. |

Hi LeChapeau... there are temperature readers that you place on the garment and send down the dryer while you hold onto the transmitter.

We've used heat sensitive stickers before but not any with a temp gauge on them. Where would I find those?
Also we have one of those other temp readers you mentioned, however we do a lot of different garment types and print with multiple types of inks (poly, plastisol, nylon, etc...) so it made it difficult. Also we questioned the accuracy of the reader. Thank you for your response |

Hello LeChapeau... get the data sheets from the ink manufacturers AND the garment vendors. We received a notice from High 5 Sportswear® stating that heat in excess of 330° can turn the dye in the polyester garment into a "gaseous state" and can "bleed" into the other colors.
