Default Is this a good deal?

http://dallas.craigslist.org/sdf/bfs/2170230207.html

My name is Donnie I am new to screen pringting and I am starting a clothing line locaaly. I found this on my local craigslist and was hoping someone could tell me if this would be a good starter press. I was looking at getting a table top 1 station originally and was going to spend about the same. I would need to make the pallets still and get an exposure unit or make one as ive heard. Also it does not have micro reg. How much would this limit me and how hard is it to add if i need it? Does this look like a good deal or what would be a fair price to pay or should I just leave this one alone and keep looking

Thanks for the advice

Donnie

I am just concerned that for the designs i want to print a 4 color one station would not be quick enough. It does come with a flash dryer and screens and some other supplies and i was going to try and get it for closer to 700-800; however, if you think it would be a waste of money and more problems i wouldnt even bother. Also ive been reading that you can add micros to any press but didnt know if it was true

thanks

There are no pallets but I was planning on making them myself I have a woodshop they seemed pretty straight foward and easy to make but like I said I'm new so I could very well be wrong. According to him all I would need to get started is the pallets and an exposure unit which he's saying I can make pretty cheap.

I would not pay $1000 for that machine. Needs too much work from the looks of it.

Not a good deal. You can find a nice Rototex 6/4 or 6/6 for that price and they are workhorses of presses. I used to have two of them and sold them for $1200 each, and i have seen many on here selling them for that price. Or maybe save a little more and for around 2K you should get nice equipment.

Why not just contract the work out? There are a tons of other things you need besides a press to get from point A to B. Oh yes, did I mention you have to know what your doing too.....It's a real fun learning curve.
