Stay away from the SWF. Stay away far faraway. Real piece of crap with no service and
not good about even returning phone calls.
The sewing finished work is not that good at all.
The tensions get completely messed up with just the finest change.
Plastic parts.
Resale is very low.....check out all the SWF machines for sale on these and other
boards........low low low......why do you think that would be.......buying someone
elses problems.
You think support is bad on some brands, but these guys are way on top of the list.
We were pressured and I mean pressured into buying this machine and when we
wanted a little time to compare, it was taken as a big insult.
I wish we had never considered or touched this one.

I own 2 swf machines and I have to disagree with dblackburn. We travel with our machines in an enclosed trailer and we never have tension problems or any problems at all. I keep them oiled and greased. As for the tech support and service I have had to call them one time. I left a short message of the problem and within 30 mins. a tech called me back and the problem was fixed.

As far as plastic parts I would say about all companies use plastic parts now a days. I am not bashing dBlackburn in any way he could've got a bad machine, I am sure every company has a percentage of bad machines come off the assembly line.

SWF machines are always all over the place up for sale. too many for the amount of machines they sell.

One reason is SWF has problems with their control boards that they cannot diagnose except by guessing . they say try swapping the boards around, then they say you need this board, after the new board is installed, they hope it fixes the problem . if not they say you need this board, another guess. hopefully this machine is under warrenty or this gets expensive real fast.

They are the worst machine made in my option. i'm sure a lot of people will defend them but i know from experience about the problems of these machines.

Have been using swf machines for seven years, have five, no problems. When service has been required it's always been "Johnny on the spot". For those with problems i'd say look to the guy/gal running the machine.

I have to disagree with this post we have all SWF and one Tajima, with 14 years experience in this business I think SWF's are the best made machines for the money. We've had great experience with our machines for the last 9 years with amazing service.

I have 2 SWF machines, a single head and double and have had NO problems at all with either machine. I also get a quick reply back if I call in. It could be the part of the country that you are in. I am in TEXAS and the machine and service are great!
