Happy Voyager or another embroidery machine?
I am looking into starting an embroidery business. I plan on keeping it a small business for now.
A friend owns an embroidery business and started with the Babylock. She now has a Tajima. I was considering the Brother PR620 (prices have dropped for these new) and the Babylock. I like the price and the size. She recommends I do not go with the Babylock or Brother because they do not run fast and said if you set it at 1000, it will run at 800 - versus a true commercial machine is quicker and runs at the speed you set it.
I have been looking for used machines and found a Happy, but when I looked up info on it, the description said it is for home embroidery. Is this a commercial machine that runs the speed you set it?
Any other suggestions? I plan on traveling with this - going to fairs, but I also want to get some local businesses and baseball teams as customers. I feel the Tajima is too heavy. I like that the Brother is not over 100 pounds. Don't know how heavy the Happy is.
Thanks for any input.
