Question Happy VS Barudan

Hi,

I am looking to purchase a 15 needle or so .. machine. I currently have 2 Babylock
6 needle machines but I am looking for a more reliable one. I love the stitching on the Babylock, but have taken it to the shop more times than I would like to. The only reason I got the Babylocks was because I am in Hawaii, and I can't find people to service the commercial machines.

The people at Barudan and Happy have said that their machines hardly ever need fixing and they will help me on the phone or through their webcam or something like that.
Please any info you have for me would be great.
First which machine is better and secondly the lack of technicians in Hawaii.

Thanks,
Kristie

Default Re: Happy VS Barudan

Both are good reliable machines. I would look for ease of changing from flats to hats. I think Happy is easier. Maintenance will keep your machine runing for years. Problem I have seen with the barudan is in the trimming, and threads come out of the needle way to often. Learn all you can about each machine features. That should help you decide. You are going to find fans of each one. Sort of like ford verses chevy. Who ever owns either will say they are the best.
