Re: Help! How to embroider design that has to be hooped twice?
I agree with Dennis, you need a bigger hoop! If you're talking about a hoopmaster mighty hoop then I understand why you'd want to use it. But... Take a hoop that fits the design and then hoop with sticky backing. Figure out where the design goes and Make marks on your hoop where the belt should be. Here's the fun part. I would take a razor knife and cut out a rectangle where it would be on the design. Then cut however many you have to do on the sticky that will cover your hole you just made (maybe 1" around it). Put it on the bottom over the hole. Take your belt and push it on a flat surface to the sticky and then take 2 binder clips (the black office supply clips) and secure each side of the belt to the large hoop. Put in the machine and embroider. After embroidering take the hoop out and rip away the sticky on the bottom and it should come off the other sticky (mine does anyway). Then repeat ad nauseum. I use binder clips on all my fast frames because my sticky isn't good enough to stick to the garment and not mess with the thread. And I hate sticky backing so a lot of times I just use regular tearaway or cutaway with my FF too.
