Default help- swf owner ( I need your opinion)

Hi

I have 3 SWF Single Compact machine
I have been doing this for a long time but this is the first time I have worked on SWF machines. I keep having color change problems where it either goes to the wrong color all together or doesn't go far enough and either starts to sew or says color change error.
It makes grinding sound when color changing.
Joint board , cable are OK ( I have 2 more swf , but contorl box doesn't compatible)
I checked color change motor. It looks like main power doesn't support enough power.

Is that main power board problem? or others.

Mainboard is almost $1000. I tried to fix the board, They charge $650.00

If anybody have a same problem , Please advise to me

Thank you in advance..

I had same problem with a 2002 SWF 4 head, it was the color change control board, was burned but hard to see unless you remove it from the machine.

It is the llittle rheostat at the left end of your color change motor about $100. When the board goes it won't change colors at all. Walk through the needles by turning the knob on the right side of the motor and watch the display to see if it is changing needles at the same time. The change out of the rhestat is easier and less costly than the board.
