Anybody have any info about the Highland HM-1501C machine? Just starting out but want more than a 6 color machine.

Here in Texas it appears Mesa has started selling the Highland brand. They are new to our market so if you are just getting into embroidery I would question the logic in going after a new brand. Would you buy a Chana? Mahindra? Fisker? or Tata? all of these are brands of automobiles scheduled to start marketing in the US in the next 18months... personally I would let others buy them until the service is tested here. They may be fine, but not having the skills I would suggest buying a more established brand with proven service records in your area. I remember the headaches when SWF first came into this market... it left a bad taste on the brand that to many still carries over.

Stick with a major player who has been around for a long time in your area. you have enough on your plate without being the test market for your machine.

Very good Advise! Don't forget the Ford Pinto and Chevy Vega. At least these automobile manufacturers had the parts and service dept to fix their issues!

What about the Ricoma RCM-1201PT instead?

I know they are out of Miami. I live in NC. I asked about warranty repairs and was told if it is a warranty repair or replacement it is on them.

I am a maintenance tech by trade and could probably repair it myself after the warranty was out.

They stock the machines and seem to offer everything I'll need. Also, would it be worth the extra $500 for the 15 color machine?
