Question Home embroidery machine warranties

Hello to everyone. This is my first time on an internet forum. Please bear with me. I have been embroidering for a while as a hobby and have recently purchased a new home embroidery machine. I would like to do a little embroidering from my home to make a little extra spending money. My question: does using your home machine to make money affect the warranty and how is this evaluated? For example, does the machine have an overall stitch counter that shows total stitch count to service personnell, or does this mean that you cannot advertise your service for business? Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Default Re: Home embroidery machine warranties

Hi

I have just purchased a new Tajima single head machine (due to be installed in a couple of weeks time) When I first looked into starting embroidery from my workshop at home I was looking at getting something like the Brother pr600 Sold here in the uk for £5,250 including vat.But was told by loads of people that the machine has an inbuilt counter and as this machine is classed as a domestic machine would not be covered under warrenty if I went over a certain amount of stitches in any one day. The Tajima sells here for £9,400 including vat. This was not the only reason I decided not to go for a domestic machine but it was a big part of it.

Regards

Dave
