Default Hoop seems to "sway"

I have a Bernina Deco 330 single needle embroidery machine. I've had it almost 10 years and have always had this problem. My largest hoop is 5 x 7 and when I try to embroider large designs that pretty much fill up the entire hoop, it seems to sway when it's at the farthest point from where the hoop hooks into the back of the machine. Just seems like the farther it sews from where it's attached the crappier it sews, any tips would be greatly appreciated!

hi, as a professional digitizer I can say that most home embroidery machines have this same issue... the hoop size is not determining the embroidery size. not sure why but just know you are not alone. Whereas with an industrial machine we can remove the presser feet and sew right up to the frame... and often into the frame, lol

So basically you're saying I need a better machine.

not necessarily, now you know what the "real" sewing area is and just stay within that area. the machine is fine so no need to do away with it.
