depending on complexity, it could take an hour, or 4 or 6. at that price you would do much better delivering pizzas. you get what you pay for.

It's not about the price but quality for the clients.

its companies that sell designs cheap that HAVE LOWERED the market. you can charge more, but you have to be worth it.

in my experience, new embroiderers will try a few of the cheap companies first but then they figure out that its worth it to pay more for a design that doesn't have to be edited 10 times and still not look great. its cheaper to pay $45 (or whatever) to have it done right the first time, rather than spending a lot of time , back-and-forth, and frustration, to try to get a design to look good.

its cheaper to pay $45 once, than to pay $10, and then $45.

I agree cheap has lowered the market. I charge out at $45 Cdn for left chest or hat whether I pay $15 or $30. I have a very good digitizer that charges $15.I won't raise my prices even if 15 gets me 25 I have seen the quality of your work and would gladly pay $50-$100+ USD for a quality complex design. I add 50% for my time and sew out. I hope you like working on fishing boat designs I have a few I would like you to look at.

4 to 6? really? hyperbole? ha.. no seriously... I agree with your pricing concept but not our time as digitizers. I personally have never spent 6 hours on ANY digitizing.. ANY including my designs with MILLIONS of stitches.. see my sites.

I mean maybe when i worked on a digitrac..... but that was 20 years ago... even today I hand punch all lettering.. no keyboard. havent spent more than 1 hour on a design in decades.. no reason to.
