Default I need a bigger dryer (SOLD!)

State/Province: California
City: Clovis
SOLD!!!

Are you looking for a smaller almost new dryer?

I am looking for a bigger dryer prefer 36"-54" belt and 10-12 ft in length at least. Must be single phase and under 40 amps.

I have a almost new 24" belt Ranar Curestar 4000 8 ft in length. This is really in great shape but I need a dryer that will somewhat keep up with an automatic press.

PM me if you need to downsize your dryer.

Unfortunately no. The dryer you have for sale is my ideal dryer but I only have 100 amp single phase service in my current shop. Cant move for another 22 months, which sucks.

I think you are really going to struggle to find what you are looking for in 40 amps or less. Without going to deep, the wattage(power) of an oven generally equates to the amount of heat it can produce. At 208 volts and 40 amps, you are at a maximum wattage of 8,320 watts(single phase only). After you take into consideration that all of your power consumption(wattage) will not be used to make heat because you also need to power a conveyor and blower, you likely will not be able to find anything that will cure waterbase. Even if you found something that traded out more air flow for heat, you might struggle to get up to the temperatures needed to convert the moisture to steam. Some moisture will naturally be wicked away with the convection, but you still need to have the garment up to a higher temperature especially if your using discharge agents.

To put that into printing perspective, we manufacture a 24" x 24" infrared manual flash that is 4000 watts. So in essence, your power limitation would be two manual flashes; 24" wide of heat and 48" long with no conveyor or blower for moving the garment and air.

To get what you need, you will probably have to either drop another single phase panel and allow for more amperage or you need bring in three phase.

If you do find something out there that works great with your current restrictions, please let everyone know. There are many people in your shoes.

I can't remember what country I was in -but- they had built dryers using heating oil as a fuel source ... maybe one of these MFG's should consider this for guys like you :-)

Shmerry ... Tim is a good guy ... he worked for me at Progressive ... he can definitly advise you on what Workhorse Products has to offer ... give him a call on his mobile 864-275-6510

Tim ... Hope to find you doing well Brother :-))

I could probably go up to 60 amps if I dont run the flash. Ideally if I could get a 3 panel dryer that pulls 20 amps each panel and run all 3 when running discharge and turn one off when I need to run the flash that may work or just limp along like I am and wait until november when I can move out of my shop into something more appropriate.

I still think the propane idea we discussed could be a solution for you :-)
