hey all ,
i hired a few new people on my staff and someone keeps hitting the hoop with the presser foot. Its becoming quite agitating does anyone know of as program that tell you what size design will fit in the hoop so this wont happen. im scared to leave him alone at night..

Does the machine have a trace option. The tajima that I used to work on could trace the image before you sew it to make sure you dont hit the hoop. If not, your digitizer should know what the motif size is, and into what hoop it should go.

I would contact the manufacturer of the machine and ask them. Is there anyway for you to print out the design before running? This would be a great help.

Trace if you have this function. Have the person print out designs and match up the design with the hoop to see if it fits or have someone else generate a work list for this person which includes hoop information.

We have an SWF and we were told to trace each design before stitching because if you hit the hoop and have something break, it can be pricey to repair. We have a trace option and an exclude option for an exact trace.

i have a 1990 machine that does the production i wish i had a trace.

does your trace tell you exactly if its going to fit or not?

trace tells you does the design fits in your selected hoop...

maybe option "automatic select hoop"?

Trace actually uses a laser to either trace a rectangle around your entire design or to trace the exact outline of your design (this is called "exclude" on my SWF.) You just watch to see if the laser gets too close to your hoop. It may not look like it'll fit when you do the rectangle trace, but the 'exclude' with the exact trace may show that the actual design doesn't come close to the hoop.
