Default I need some advise/information

I am looking at starting an in home business of Embroidery. If you had to choose between a single head 15 needle happy aprox. six years old, or a Tajima single head 12 needle macine aprox. six years old which one would you choose and why? Is their a digitizing software that works on both machines? Can someone explain EDS111 to me? Thanks

Hi, which machine has more technicians in your area? I would usually opt for the Tajima in this case because they are easier to resell since more people have them. (just in case you want to get out of the business)... but if you have a dependable Happy tech just right down the street then I would go with the Happy. Being new, operator error will happen more often and you don't want your machine down more than necessary. I also would advise against digitizing software at first. you will have your hands full marketing and selling, then running your machine until you can have people to do those tasks.... adding digitizing from the start does not seem like a good recipe for success because all it will do is take time away from selling.

I would pick the Tajima. the Tajima is a good solid machine and they last for years. Both machines use DST files and I suggest getting a cheap software and contract out any differcult jobs, it is not worth you time to learn everything. A one head machine will not make you much money and you will only be able to take in small orders.
I own a small embroidery company and have 1 8-head machine and 1 2-head machine. I will be selling my company soon and retiring.
Good Luck

I agree too with the tajima purchase. I also agree with the fact that a single head will not produce a whole lot(making you money) however, a single head IS a good idea to start with. You will need to build a client base first and this will take a while. It will also give you an idea whether you want to pursue this venture or not.
